Some idiot in one of these FB threads wrote “Hillary is a felon.” Not. True. But writing that in a public forum is libel. Class 6 Criminal Libel is a felony. To make this moron a felon, though, would require a conviction.

Somehow of other, I ended up looking into the knotty question of whether a sitting president can be indicted. Unclear. The likely mechanism would be the successful act of impeachment followed by an indictment as a private citizen.

President Trump, with a unified government behind him would not be impeached. Why? It’s all about power. Those that have it won’t want to yield it. So The Donald can add that to his list of reasons winning the presidency would be a good idea.
